Paris / my brunch & lunch recommendations
In Paris, a leisurely lunch – accompanied by a glass or two of wine – is truly a lifestyle. Within the six weeks I spent exploring the city, I hardly scratched the surface on all of the places to stop for a brunch or casual lunch, so this list is far, far from comprehensive – just a collection of the places I visited and would recommend. Many of my favorite memories are bookended by grabbing a sunny seat for one at a bustling corner cafe, where I could people-watch the afternoon away while surrounded by chic Parisians smoking cigarettes. Paris is a city that you don’t need much of a plan for – it unfolds in front of you effortlessly, and the cafes are just one thread tying everything together.
Cafes for brunch / a casual lunch that I’ve enjoyed:
Carette (definitely an overpriced tourist trap, but the eggs were good) (Place des Vosges)
Crepe Suzette (Marais)
Breizh Cafe (multiple locations)
Papilles (Pigalle)
Café Singuliers (my go to while I was staying in Bastille)
On Partage (another go to in Bastille)
The Hardware Société (Montmartre)
Les 5 Marches (Montmartre)
Cafe 52 at Hotel Grand Powers (8th)
Cafe Bonaparte (6th)
Cafe Charlot (Marais)
