Mallorca / El Camino
El Camino was absolutely packed each time I went by, and though typically I am able to get a seat for one at the bar when I stop by a popular restaurant, this spot was an exception. In fact, most of Palma was an exception! On my second try I practically begged for a seat the following evening, and thankfully they met with both grace and a reservation. When I finally stepped up to the plate, I ended up sitting next to another gal out treating herself to a lovely dinner, and better yet, she works in design! Laura was so kind to tell me all about her travels and experience as a creative working in Rome, London, and Palma over a collection of small plates and wine, and generously introduced me to her favorite gelato shop after dinner while giving me a tour of her slice of the city. The evening that started at El Camino will go on record for one of the most memorable of this adventure – there’s just something in the air and ambiance here that is magic!
