Brief
Annapolis might be small, but she is mighty. When I visited last year, I was surprised to find not one but two (!) charming homewares shops, including Shoppe Details & Design and the dreamy Vignette Home, Table, and Garden. The owner of Vignette was working at the time, which is always a treat, so we chatted about her path to opening the shop and the plans for its future, and about her daughter who is also a photographer! These conversations and moments make DC feel much smaller and more intimate, and I am grateful for places like these that are not just for browsing, but also for building relationships. If you are looking for shop worthy of a daytrip, I’d recommend adding Vignette and then checking out my Annapolis Field Guide for a few other places to stop by along your way.
